BASF hikes methylamine price

German chemical giant, BASF, is increasing its European sales prices for methylamines and methylamine derivatives, with immediate effect.

It said methylamine (Mono-, Di-, Tri-) will see a hike of €50 per metric ton (MT), while the price of dimethylaminopropylamine (DMAPA) will rise by €40 per MT.

Dimethylethanolamine (DMEOA) and Dimethylacetamide (DMAc) will be increased by €30 and €40 per metric ton respectively, added the group.

BASF produces methylamines and their derivatives at its sites in Ludwigshafen in Germany, Louisiana in the US and Nanjing in China.
