Leadership changes at Cargill
Cargill executive team members take on new roles to implement what the company calls ‘strategic growth initiatives.'
Ruth Kimmelshue [pictured] is set to lead Cargill’s animal nutrition and health division, from April 1, after five years leading global business operations and supply chains.
She has been a member of the executive team since 2015, and previously held leadership roles in the protein and agricultural supply chain businesses. She was also Cargill's first chief sustainability officer.
David Webster, who most recently led the company’s animal nutrition and health business, will take over as head of the food ingredients and bioindustrial division of Cargill. Webster joined the company’s executive team in 2019. Currently based in the US, he is set to relocate to the Netherlands in 2022.
Meanwhile, Pilar Cruz joins the company’s executive team as its new chief sustainability officer. In this role, she will have responsibility for the Cargill’s sustainability, corporate responsibility, and global communications functions.
Cruz currently leads the company’s global aqua nutrition business. Originally from Colombia, she joined Cargill in 2002, and has held leadership roles in North America, Latin America, and Europe. She also led the company’s global strategy and development function, focusing on strategy, mergers and acquisitions and business development.
In other Cargill personnel developments, Jamie Miller has been named its new chief financial officer (CFO) and will serve on the company’s executive team. She will join the company on June 1, 2021, at the start of its new fiscal year.
Miller was the senior vice president and CFO at GE from November 2017 until February 2020. She joined GE in 2008, holding various leadership positions, including serving as president and CEO of GE Transportation. She was also chief information officer and led the digital technology function, and she held operational responsibility for GE Capital.
